2025’s been another odd growing season, starting very wet and then with a period of extreme dryness with little to no rain over the summer months. Summer 2025 has been declared officially the warmest on record with a mean (average) temperature of 16.10°C, surpassing the previous record of 15.76°C set in 2018.
This made it hard to know to handle the crops. Some vegetables such as squash and tomatoes, we assumed would love the hot weather, seemed to actually sulk and yet beans which prefer the wet, flourished.
It seems we’ll be having to learn how to cope with these changes!
However, there were still some great harvests on the site, here are a few snapshots below:
