Our Summer Solstice celebration for Midsummer Mischief was on Saturday 21st June, one of the hottest days of the year.
Held on our new communal plot, under the recently pruned apple tree festooned with fairy lights, which gave much needed shade during such a hot day!
It was also the first use of our ‘new’ repurposed table, which was much admired.
With homemade food and drink, there was a lot of chilling and chatting. Some members gave beautiful readings of the Cornish poet Charles Causley and interesting thoughts from the American naturalist and essayist, Henry David Thoreau. The hours flew by.
We’re greatly looking forward to the next!
